Design Principles for High-Efficiency Fresh Air Inlets

Based on decades of research and field experience, the design of high-efficiency fresh air inlets adheres to the following fundamental principles:

  • High-level air entry. Cold air should be introduced from the upper part of the poultry house, allowing it to pre-warm and mix before coming into contact with the flock or litter.
  • Use multiple small inlets rather than a few large ones. Distributed openings facilitate better air dispersion and ensure uniform mixing of air within the house.
  • Maintain adequate static pressure. The house’s airtightness should be maintained at a level of approximately 0.15 inches of water column (approx. 37 Pascals) to ensure optimal inlet performance and even air distribution. Air leaks must be sealed before installing fresh air inlets.
  •  Automation and modulation control. Modern inlets feature automation or zone control capabilities, offering options ranging from simple “on/off” modes to advanced modulation modes to meet changing ventilation requirements.

Scientifically Optimized Aerodynamic Structure

The scientifically optimized internal structure directs incoming cold air upward along the ceiling, ensuring it mixes thoroughly with the warm air inside the house before reaching the bird activity zone. This effectively eliminates cold drafts, reduces bird stress, and ensures uniform temperature distribution throughout the house.

Tight Sealing — Eliminating Uncontrolled Air Leakage

Precision-engineered sealing surfaces ensure airtightness when the inlet is closed. This prevents cold air infiltration during cold weather, minimizes heat loss, and enables precise static pressure control—a key factor for effective minimum ventilation.

Adjustable Ventilation Volume and Airflow Direction

Flexibility is essential for efficient ventilation management. Our inlets allow for on-site adjustment of the opening height and baffle position, enabling you to fine-tune ventilation volume and airflow direction based on bird age, external conditions, and house layout. Ventilation strategies can be flexibly adjusted without the need to replace hardware.
