System Core Mechanism and Epidemic Prevention Principles
The positive pressure ventilation air filtration system for pig farms uses fans to force outside air into the pig barn after multiple stages of filtration. This creates an air pressure 25-35 Pa higher than the ambient air pressure, creating an “air barrier” that prevents unfiltered air from entering through gaps.
Physical barrier: The positive pressure environment prevents natural infiltration of outside air, allowing only clean air that has passed through the filtration system to enter.
Multi-stage filtration: The typical configuration is a “primary filter + sub-high efficiency” filter.
Primary filter: Intercepts particles ≥5μm, protecting subsequent filters.
Sub-high efficiency filter: Filters particles 0.3-0.5μm (such as viral aerosols) with a filtration efficiency of 95%-99.95%, intercepting pathogens such as blue ear disease and African swine fever.
Airflow control: Air is supplied through small ceiling windows or floor trenches to ensure even airflow distribution within the barn, avoiding dead spots, while using positive pressure to expel contaminated air.
